Build Your Future before graduation

We do internships differently.

You'll gain experience most students don't see until after graduation.

Explore Internships

  • Learn The Business
Summers cover drilling, completions, land, geology, and more.
  • Earn Real Responsibility
You're a teammate, not a temp. Trusted with meaningful work from week one.
  • Start As Early As Freshman Year
Return each summer to build on what you've learned.
  • Built To Grow
Interns don't just work here. They become MOC engineers and leaders.

What Interns Do

  • Experience the full life cycle of a well from drilling and completions through production.
  • Work alongside field operations teams, including engineers, pumpers, and field leadership.
  • Observe drilling, hydraulic fracturing, and completion activities while gaining firsthand field experience.
  • Learn how wells are optimized through production analysis, artificial lift systems, and workover operations.
  • Gain exposure to the broader operating environment, including HSE, water management, and working with contractors.
  • Understand how operational decisions drive performance and contribute to safe, efficient oil and gas production.

What Interns Do

Geology
  • Analyze subsurface data including well logs, core, seismic, and other geological information.
  • Identify and evaluate drilling prospects through mapping and reservoir characterization.
  • Gain exposure to geosteering operations, learning how real-time geological data is used to keep horizontal wells in zone and maximize reservoir contact.
Reservoir Engineering
  • Evaluate reservoir performance and reserves to help determine development potential.
  • Assess drilling opportunities using technical and economic analysis.
  • Collaborate with geologists and other disciplines to develop drilling recommendations and investment proposals.
Land
  • Gain hands-on experience in mineral ownership, title research, and leasing.
  • Assist with acquisitions and regulatory matters that impact exploration and development.
  • Understand how land, legal, and business considerations influence drilling decisions.

What Interns Do

  • Gain hands-on experience in your specific business function while contributing to meaningful projects and day-to-day operations.
  • Develop practical skills and industry knowledge through real-world assignments, mentorship, and on-the-job learning.
  • Analyze information and support decision-making within your field of study.
  • Collaborate with professionals across the organization and learn how departments work together to achieve business objectives.
  • Understand how your function supports the company’s success from strategy and planning to execution and operations.
